A Short History
Robert E Lee Plastering Contractors Limited (REL) was established by Robert Lee in 1992 and became a Limited Company in 1994. Originally REL specialised in Plastering skills but soon established itself as a very successful Drywall and Floor Screeding provider.
Our Mission Statement
To become the contractor that others set their standards by. To provide products and services that meet and exceed our customers' expectations.
Products and Services
The company installs a full range of internal dry lining systems which includes: Metal Stud Partitioning, Steel Frame Systems, MF and Suspended ceilings, wall linings and Glasroc Fire protection.

In addition to Dry Lining, the company is well known for supplying both traditional and Anhydrite (self-levelling) screeds. Recent developments include the introduction of Screedflo, an anhydrite floor screed batched on site, and the Screedflo dB System for use in timber-framed buildings.

Robert E Lee also installs electric or water underfloor heating systems which work effectively with the Screedflo product.

The company still carries out traditional hand applied and spray application plastering and rendering. We are experienced in a wide range of external finishes.

Meet the Team
From design to estimating through to project completion, a Robert E Lee project is conducted by the company's team of professionals, all of whom have proven experience in their specialist field of the construction industry. With over 60 employees, continuity, reliability and high standards are assured.

We are always willing to visit a site to discuss your specific project and, as a result, always ensure the correct match of product to your individual need.

Every project is supervised by our expert managers whose knowledge and experience, in conjunction with the high quality craftsmanship of our tradesmen, will provide solutions to problems, together with full technical advice and recommendations to all aspects of the chosen material or finish.

Construction Managers
Ian Pearson
Ian Pearson - Ian joined the Company in 1994 as a Project Manager, having previously worked as a skilled Plasterer for 18 years. While working for Robert E Lee, he has worked as a Project Manager, a Divisional Manager and since 2007 as a Construction Manager.
In this role he oversees all production on Flooring from traditional screeds to anhydrite screeds, including Screedflo.
Ian has been instrumental in the development of our Flooring Division through assisting in the introduction of new products, processes to the development of production teams, training programmes and developing new workers to become skilled craftsmen.

Dave Dudley
Dave Dudley - Dave joined the Company in 2000 as a Site Supervisor, and quickly demonstrated his abilities to lead teams and manage even the most difficult projects. Dave progressed to the role of Project Manager - Dry Lining, Contracts Manager and most recently as Construction Manager.
Dave started out as a skilled Dryliner and has used this knowledge to help him oversee such large projects as: The Icon Building, London E14 (Persimmon Homes - £2m), Harford Street, Stepney, E1 (Bellway Homes - £3.3m), Regatta Quay, Ipswich (City Living Developments - £1m), The Landmark, London E14 (Chalegrove Properties Ltd - £3.8m). His excellent Project Management skills have helped him to ensure high quality performance on his jobs and he has passed on his knowledge and skills to a number of Site Managers he has trained.

Awards and Achievements
The Company has received a number of local business awards for Training and Business Development.

We achieved the Investors in People standard in 2003 and have successfully built upon this achievement by our focus on improved two-way communications, our employee consultation processes and development programmes.

The company achieved the ISO 9001 Quality Standard in 2006 for our products and services and has successfully retained this standard each year it has been reassessed.
